Nile Cruise Reviews

Just returned from a cruise on the MS Fleurette 8 -15 Feb 2010. Probably the most memorable holiday my wife and I have ever had. From the moment we arrived at Luxor we were looked after by ASC staff whose customer care for the whole week was without doubt exceptional. Nothing was ever too difficult and their attention to the finest detail was something you don’t often experience on holidays nowadays.
We deliberately chose the Fleurette because of its smaller size and were pleased we did. The ships age was immaterial as its fresh white paintwork gleamed in the wall to wall sunshine we experienced during our week. We took a Junior Suite which has a small balcony. The accommodation was perfect for us in every way and with the housekeeping staff being so friendly we felt that they really cared about our comfort. This same attitude went for all the staff and especially the Chefs who clearly took pride in seeing their culinary expertise being so very much appreciated by all on board.
The itinerary was planned to perfection to allow us to see and experience so much of Egypt’s history yet had plenty of relaxation time. Our Guide Toni was outstanding. We would happily want to go again even if it was just for the Nile cruising which is unique in itself. If you ever thought you might cruise the Nile one day, do it now!! You will not be disappointed but please do go with the right mindset. Egypt is Egypt, not like home!! We went to experience as much as we could, yes even a little diesel smell from other moored boats which is sometimes unavoidable but the way it is! Just accept that you will pay more for your drinks than you can get them in Tesco’s!! And, if you can afford it, take an upgrade on the flight to an extra leg room seat (£35), at 6’2” I felt like a sardine must do!!
Thank you African Safari Club for our holiday it was unforgettable.

Excellent from start to finish , the food the towel arrangements , the friendly helpful crew , the knowlegable guides, the amazing pyramids of giza , the searing heat , Eygpt is truly a human pilgrimage. I'd like to compliment our guide Ramez , he was awsome , if you are considering this trip I seriosly advise you to go for it , it will easily be the best money you've spent this century.

We travelled on the Fleurette on 11th. January, 2010. The holiday exceeded our expectations in many areas - especially value for money !
The staff on board were friendly and helpful and our guide, Hesham, was superb in every way, always ready to go the "extra mile " to help and inform.
The food was varied and most enjoyable - it was a relief to find that all fruit and vegetables ( so often a source of "dodgy stomachs") on board were washed with bottled water.
The trips were excellent - but do ask about departure times when you book, as some are very early departures to enable you to travel and see the sights before the heat of the day. having said that the early starts do mean that you have time to relax on board in the afternoons.

We have just returned from a week on the Da Vinci - words fail me - we had an excellent time, the staff and tour guide Ahmed were fantastic. New Year's eve was a fun night and the weekly fancy dress party was brilliant with most people dressing up. We cannot fault anything on the cruise. We certainly intend to do this again.

In December, we went on the M.S. Da Vinci for a family holiday with two teenagers. Before reaching Egypt we did have some concerns about whether the holiday was going to be suitable for the girls, but they did enjoy it and made a lot of new friends their age. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were extremely friendly and the guides were informative and approachable. Room service was excellent too as they surprised us everyday with towels shaped in different designs.
The included excursions were enjoyable. We went on some of the optional tours that were available and felt they were worthwhile. The early starts to the day could be difficult at times but they were well appreciated as these attractions were less crowded and the temperature was cooler.
A high quality and vast variety of food was provided onboard in the restaurant.
Entertainment on MS Da Vinci was varied. The Egyptian night was the most enjoyable and was definitely a night to remember!
Booking on the site was hassle free.
As a whole experience I would definitely recommend this holiday to anyone who wants to relax and discover about ancient Egypt.

Have just returned from a trip on the Da Vinci on the 21st December and can say that we had a wonderful time on the Nile. The staff were always friendly and efficient making sure we enjoyed our holiday. Particular thanks to Mohamed Bahaa our guide for our excursions. He was brilliant ,nothing was too much trouble. Food and accommodation was first class. Can see why all reviews are 1st. class. A truly memorable holiday. Once again many thaanks.

We have just returned from a 7 night cruise on MS Da Vinci. What a superb holiday. The boat was lovely, cabin spacious, food delicious and plentiful and staff second to none in terms of friendliness and efficiency. The tour guides (Ahmed and Hesham in our case) and leader were superb and very knowledgable. The whole trip was excellently organised and I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone.

We have just returned from our nile cruise on the M.S. Da Vinci what a fantastic time we had, this was due to the organisation of African Safari Club not a single complaint, cannot wait to return again. Our leader was H --- what a guy his knowledge was without equal his friendly manner fantastic

We have just returned from our trip on MS Da Vinci. This was excellent trip and tremendous value for money. Food was very good no one was ill. Most importantly our tour manager Hesham was superb and our tour guide was excellent her knowledge and love and experise of egyptology was outstanding. She had a quiet sense of humour and deliver her tlks in a gentle manner. Well done everyone

M.S. Da Vinci.......just had one weeks holiday 16th - 23rd Nov. 2009, it was magical. I would like to thank 'H' (Hesham) for being the most informative and entertaining of Tour Guides (especially his jokes on the return journey!) His knowledge of Egypt is second to none, which made our holiday so much more interesting. All the staff on the Da Vinci were great...very polite, helpful and always a smile on their face. Our room was always clean and the bed very comfortable. On the nights when there was entertainment going on, it was so much fun, especially the Galabeya Party and Nubia/Dervish nights. The only gripe is that the swimnming pool water was too cold. I would recommend this holiday to anybody who wants to learn some culture about Egypt rather than lying on a beach for 8 hours or more every day.
