We just felt compelled to say what a great holiday we had on the Nile (17 April to 24 April) on M.S. Da Vinci.
Whilst the staff were all very helpful & pleasant, our guide, Hesham made a huge contribution towards making our holiday so memorable.
He was clearly a very knowledgeable Egyptologist and you could not fail to share his enthusiasm, and we left Egypt having gained a much better appreciation of its ancient history, mythology and culture & how that relates to the present day.
Hesham made the whole experience a true delight and he is a real asset to your organisation. We feel very lucky that we were part of the Weru party.
Just returned (17-24 March) from a wonderful trip aboard the M.S. Da Vinci. "H" our guide was remarkable in his knowledge and passion for Egypt. Mohammed was as attentive as a "Family" member. The ship, every member of staff, trips, transport, food were brilliant. The towel models made us laugh. We seemed to have had a whole ship of lovely people to enjoy the holiday with. I was very impressed with M.S. Da Vinci in every way. Thank you all for a fabulous holiday.
We have just returned from the Da Vinci Cruise (24 March to 31 March) and were delighted with the attentive staff, great food and amazing site visits and tour guides. The restaurant staff were great, especially our head waiter Omar, who made sure we had a pleasant dining experience every day. The tour Guide Manal was one of the best we have ever had, charismatic and knowledgeable she was excelent in her presentations and made the trips very fun. This is a great value for money experience.
Having recently returned from a weeks cruise on the M.S. Da Vinci (17th March - 24th March) I would like to say how much we enjoyed the cruise. Our guide H, an Egyptologist who teaches at a Cairo University, was enthusiatic and knowledgable. We enjoyed all the excursions while marvelling at how well everything seemed to work. The boat was well run we could find no fault in any part. We will be recommending African Safari Club cruises to our friends.
Excellent is the word to describe everything about this cruise (1-7 April), special mention must go to our tour guide Hesham who brought ancient Egypt to life, tour manager Mohamed who was Mr Organisation, not forgetting our cabin cleaner who also doubled as a sculptor. "Everything" is thought of and mentioned and handled, truly outstanding, allowing guests to concentrate their energies on the temple and tomb visits and recuperating on the top deck. Hot sun but did not feel draining - must be the desert air. Very friendly and entertaining atmosphere, hard to keep up with all the (very nice) food, must pay in Nubian Pounds the next time we go, I understand we will get a very good exchange rate!
We retuned on 7th April from an unforgettable cruise on the M.S. Da Vinci. Food was great, company was great and our tour guide, "H", was exceptional. Many thanks also go to the tour manager Mohammed and all the crew members for making the whole week so enjoyable. Only disappointment was not being able to go to Cairo because of the strike. Good excuse to return!!!! Tip for anyone going - take plenty of english pound coins - every one seemed to take english currency. Small value egyptian pound notes and coins very difficult to get so tip in english if you have to. Many thanks once again.
My wife took me on the M.S. Royal Star last year for my birthday so this year i took her on the Nile Cruise. To see Egypt from the Nile is an experience to see and enjoy it on the M.S. Da Vinci is just unforgetable. The ship, the crew, most of whom we did not see were exceptional. Housekeeping services were excellent. Food choice and quantity and quality first class. Excursions led by excellent guides (we were in the happy group led by selwah) all enjoyed our days. The organisation by Mohammed saiid was all we could have expected. I could go on and on but i would recommend this cruise on this ship with this company to anyone.
