It is with great pleasure that I write about how wonderful my recent trip was to Egypt on the M.S. Star of Luxor in Jan 07.

I thought the entire trip was well organized and was especially pleased with my tour guide Mr. Hisham Hammam. I found his breadth of knowledge impeccable in Egyptology and his ability to make the sites come to life as he explained the history. Mr. Hammam made a very favorable impression I believe with the entire group as he has the ability to engage the audience genuinely while fostering trust. I found him to be the best tour guide I have had in over 20 years of traveling. He has uncompromising standards of ethical and moral conduct and a true asset to your organization.

Recently returned from a nile cruise on the M S Star of Luxor and had the most fantastic time. Everybody including passengers and crew where very very friendly and helpful and made the week very memorable. Hisham our tour guide who gave 150% to make our tours, not only educational but enjoyable. Thanks to Mohammed our tour representative who definitely made us all feel like a “family”. No compliants about food (lots of it and very tasteful), in fact no compliants at all. A great big thanks to everyone who sailed on the MS Star of Luxor during the 8-15 January 2007 for making this a holiday I will always remember.

We have just returned from a Nile cruise on the MS Star of Luxor and want to say what a fantastic time we had. Everyone on board was very friendly and efficient. The included excursions were excellent and an optional hot air balloon ride was good value for money. Our guide Manal was very funny and informative.

The whole experience totally exceeded our expectations and we would recommend this trip to everyone. Thank you African Safari Club.

I have just returned from a nile cruise on the M.S. Star of Luxor. It was a fantastic holiday I would highly recommend to all. It can always be expected to be stunned by Egypt, its people and its history but it was all made that much more special by the most fantastic team of people onboard. I was lucky to have the most knowledgeable and personal guide, Hisham. The other guide onboard, Waleed, stunned his team too.

All was held together and organised wonderfully by Mohammad. I can not praise them highly enough. Thank you all.

We have just returned from a cruise on the MS Star of Luxor and I wanted to write and say how great the trip turned out to be.

The star of the Star of Luxor for us was Hisham Hammam, our tour guide. He made it for us. His knowledge and enthusiasm for his topic made it come alive but perhaps the most remarkable thing was that he sought on-going feed back on his performance to ensure that he was giving his “customers” what they wanted. Having received constructive criticism he then adapted his approach seamlessly so that we got as much as possible out of our visits. Hisham is not a man to plough on regardless and his obvious intelligence and depth of knowledge turned a good trip into a great one. He is to be commended to you. Thank you and we hope that we can enjoy trips with you again in the future.

This was one of the best holidays we have ever had! The Star of Luxor was a beautiful ship and our room was big and very comfortable. The meals were good. The entertainment was pretty good and the staff were wonderful. There was a shop on board which was very handy, especially when we had to dress for Egyptian Evening, which a huge success and wonderful fun.

We went on most of the trips. The best one, to Abu Sibel, was well worth getting up in the middle of the night, to travel to. All the trips were superb, and we were taken good care of.

The second week we spent in The Meridian Hotel in Luxor. Superb. We are both in our 60's, but encountered no problems at all. I went out shopping on my own several times and felt very safe. Don't miss The Luxor Temple (we went twice!) or the fabulous Luxor Museum.

We plan to go again in 2008.
We have at least 4 couples who want to come with us!

I've just returned with a party of four from a week's cruise on the Star of Luxor. None of us has anything but praise for the experience. The organization was thorough, the scheduling and selection of sites comprehensive and well thought out, and the attention of guides and crew complete.

The boat was beautifully appointed and spotless; the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in on holiday; the food was superb. The crew, both in the dining room and on the cleaning staff, were attentive, kind and witty. Trying to anticipate the latest artistry with the bath linens each day became a treat!

Special mention needs to be given to Mohammed, our tour leader, who took such pains to see that everyone was well looked after, and who helped us through a couple of tight spots; to Mrs. Salwa, our group guide, whose knowledge and enthusiasm brought ancient Egypt alive to us; and to the doctor on the boat, who tended to a twisted ankle, and a minor case of sunstroke in our party. We couldn't have done without them....

... it was a flawless trip and a wonderful experience, and I have already highly recommended it to several people.

I am enclosing our questionnaire duly completed and would just like to say how much we enjoyed our cruise on the M.S. Star of Luxor. It was very well organised and the tour leader, guides and staff were all excellent. Altogether the holiday was exceptional value for money.
