Page 14 Last updated on 04 January 2007Our Nile Cruise holiday on the MS Star of Luxor was fantastic.
The ship was bright, clean and well furnished. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. Shore excursions were well organised and not too tiring. The food was good too, with lots of variety in the restaurant.
Our organiser, Mohammad was excellent. He made sure everyone was well accommodated and sorted out any problems promptly. He was friendly and helpful with a good attitude and manner.
Our group, all from England, all agreed he was exceptional. Mohammad went to each table before evening meals to make sure everyone was ok and had no problems. We had two guides on our trip, Ayman Raid and Hesham Saide.
I experience both as I swapped coaches three days into the holiday after becoming friends with someone on the other coach. They were both extra special guides as they made sure we were all well, not too tired or too hot (45 degrees!), and explained the places of interest on excursions in great detail. He even tested us on occasion to see if we were not falling asleep and still listening. Every now and then Hesham would ask us questions to test our knowledge and Ayman would change the names in the questions to check if we were still listening to him. They both made us laugh many times.
Both guides made the history of Ancient Egpyt very interesting and left us wanting to know more. I overheard some of the group talking about Ayman on the coach saying he was one of the best guides that many of them had ever met and I agreed.
I hope to do this holiday all over again with my husband as he was unable to come this time.
I will definitely book again with African Safari Club and go on board the MS Star of Luxor. Hopefully Mohammad, Ayman and Hesham will be there too. Please do keep me informed of other holidays African Safari Club organise, and please send me and new updated copy of your Nile River Cruises brochure.
The staff could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble. Mohamed Saiid is a fantastic tour leader and I cannot praise him enough for all his hard work. Mohamed is truly the jewel in the crown of African Safari Club's Nile cruises!
Myself and my friend where on the MS Star of Luxor in July 06 and we had the most amazing time. The thing that made it, more than anything, was our guide Hisham ("H"). He was fantastic, so passionate about what he did and the history that everyone, without exception, could not fail to be drawn into it - he is the best guide I have ever come across.
It can always be expected to be stunned by Egypt, its people and its history but it was all made that much more special by the most fantastic team of people onboard. I was lucky to have the most knowledgeable and personal guide, Hisham. The other guide onboard, Waleed, stunned his team too. All was held together and organised wonderfully by Mohammad.
I can not praise them highly enough. Thank you all.
We where looked after from the minute we stepped off the plane. I cannot fault any member of your staff who made our stay in Egypt memorable. I would like to mention our tour guides W and H who gave 150% to make our tours, not only educational but enjoyable, and also a great big thanks to Mohammed our tour representative who definitely made us all feel like a "family".
Thanks once again for a holiday of a lifetime.
