Itinerary
This exciting seven night fly/drive safari takes you to three exciting and different game reserves in Kenya - Tsavo East National Park, Kilimanjaro-Kimana Game Sanctuary and the famous Masai Mara.

Day 1: In the afternoon you fly from Bamburi airstrip to the Crocodile Camp, which is situated on the outskirts of Tsavo East National Park. On arrival, you set off on your first game drive. Return to the camp for dinner and then watch the crocodiles feeding at the waterside.

Day 2: After breakfast, today is entirely taken up with a game drive to Tsavo East. Home to 50 varieties of mammal and 400 species of bird, look out for the famous ‘Red Elephant’, the visible effect created by the vivid colour of the earth. Enjoy a picnic in the bush. There will also be a visit to the Galana River Ranch. Time to relax at the camp before having dinner in these memorable surroundings.

Day 3: There will be a further game drive in the morning. After lunch at the camp, you fly to the Kilimanjaro-Kimana Game Sanctuary which is situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and reserved exclusively for African Safari Club guests. This well-populated reserve is fed by the Kimana fresh water springs and is extremely rich in wildlife all year round. Time to settle into your accommodation at the camp before having dinner.

Day 4: A full day Game Ranger ‘taster’ course awaits you today. Through theory and practice you will learn the basic concepts of a Game Keepers job. You take part in an inspection drive and you will be told about African Safari Club's conservation projects, especially the re-introduction of lion and cheetah back in to the wild. Perhaps enjoy a traditional ‘sundowner’ before dinner.

Day 5: An early morning flight takes you to the Masai Mara, an extension of Tanzania's vast Serengeti and one of the most densely populated wildlife regions in Kenya. On arrival at the Mara Buffalo Camp, you set off on your first game drive. Look out for zebra, gazelle, giraffe and perhaps witness lions hunting. Return to the camp for lunch before setting off on a further game drive. Return to the camp for a three night stay.

Day 6: Spend a full day of game watching in this world-famous reserve where you can witness the thrill of African wildlife in its natural habitat. You will have a lunch-time ‘big-game hunter’s’ picnic taken in the bush. Return to the camp for dinner and an evening around the camp fire.

Day 7: Another day of game drives for you to take those last memorable photographs. Lunch is taken at the camp. Return to the camp for dinner - time to relax and enjoy this unique setting.

Day 8: After an early lunch, you are taken to the airstrip for the two hour return flight to Bamburi, arriving at your hotel in time for dinner.

(Park entrance fees are not included: approximately £152 per person - payable locally).
