On Monarch flights it is possible to pre-book extra leg room seats or seats together for a small extra charge. To take advantage of these extras, please call Monarch on 0871 225 2555 up to four working days before your departure date.
All other flights seats are allocated at check-in on a first come first served basis.
If you have any special requests please let African Safari Club or your travel agent know as soon as possible.
Airport AssistanceMany airports necessitate a walk of some distance between the check-in desk and departure lounges. If you require assistance with your luggage or the use of a wheelchair at airports, please let African Safari Club know as soon as possible and we will arrange assistance.
Please note that there are a limited number of wheelchairs at some airports so service may be slower than would normally be expected.

Please refer to your travel documents for flight details and ensure that you arrive at the airport well before the latest check-in time shown on your itinerary. Airline check-in desks are usually opened four hours before the flight departure time for long haul flights and two hours prior for flights to Europe.
BoardingPlease ensure that you arrive at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Many airports no longer announce flight departures over the public address system so it is vital that you check the flight information screens for the boarding time and gate number.

Flight Departure TimesThe flight departure times shown on your tickets are local times based on the 24hour clock. Generally these times are adhered to but occasionally flights may be delayed for reasons beyond our control. When this is the case we will do our best to keep you informed and provide assistance wherever possible. If you are being met at the airport on your return we recommend that you give full flight details to your friends/relatives and suggest that they contact the airport or check Teletext page 180 for flight arrival information so as to avoid a wait if your flight is delayed.
Entry FormalitiesDuring your flight, cabin staff will distribute Kenya Entry Declaration Forms, which should be completed before you land.
Duty FreeDirect Flights
You are still eligible to buy duty free goods as you are travelling outside the EC. The following items may be taken duty free into Kenya:
Tobacco: 250g or 200 cigarettes
Spirits: 1 litre
Perfume: 50ml

A limited selection of duty free goods is available at Mombasa Airport. These must be paid for in foreign currency (not Kenya Shillings). The current duty free allowance when returning to the UK is:
Tobacco: 250 grams or 200 cigarettes, or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars.
Alcoholic Drinks: 1 litre of spirits plus 2 litres of still table wine.
Perfume: 50 ml and 250 ml of toilet water.
Other Goods: Gifts and souvenirs to the value of £136.
