Preparing for your Holiday

LOST OR DAMAGED LUGGAGE
In the unlikely event that your luggage has gone astray or been damaged in transit, you must report this immediately to the airline representative at the airport of arrival and complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) Form before leaving the terminal. Without this form your insurance company may not consider your claim as it is your evidence that you have reported the loss/damage. Please also report any loss or damage to the Tourist Officer on arrival at your hotel with a detailed description of the bags and ensure that you retain your baggage receipt tags affixed either to your itinerary or passport.

LOST PROPERTY
In the unfortunate event that any of your personal belongings may be lost or left behind whilst on holiday with us, you may be able to make a claim through your travel or household insurers.

Although it is rare for such items to be recovered, we are happy to try and trace them for you in the first instance. A non-refundable fee of £30 will be required for this service to cover administration, communication and possible postage costs.

LUGGAGE ON SAFARI
Owing to limited space on safari aircraft, only soft holdalls weighing not more than 10kg per person may be carried. Please take this into account when packing for your holiday. All other luggage may be left at your hotel.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
If you have any special requests, whilst these cannot be guaranteed, please let African Safari Club or your Travel Agent know at the time of booking or, at the latest, 14 days prior to your departure from the UK.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Any special dietary requests should have been made at the time of booking and we will do our best to ensure such requests are met, but regrettably they cannot be guaranteed.

FLIGHT SEAT ALLOCATION
Our flights are operated by Monarch Airlines (MON) from Gatwick South Terminal. At Manchester, Monarch Airlines operate from Terminal 1. All airlines (except African Safari Airways) operate a ‘common check-in' procedure which will allow you to check-in at any of their respective desks.

If you wish to be seated with your travel companions, it is advisable to check-in early to avoid disappointment, and advise the check-in staff of your request and how many people are in your party.

If you have any special requests, whilst these cannot be guaranteed, please let African Safari Club or your Travel Agent know at the time of booking or, at the latest, 14 days prior to your departure from the UK.

AIRPORT ASSISTANCE
At Gatwick, Manchester and Mombasa airports, it may be necessary to walk some distance between the check-in desk and boarding gate. If you require assistance with your luggage or the use of a wheelchair at these airports, please let African Safari Club or your Travel Agent know at the time of booking or, at the latest, 14 days prior to your departure from the UK. Every endeavour will be made to arrange assistance.

Please note that there are a limited number of wheelchairs at these airports, so service may be slower than would normally be expected.
