Please pass on our comments to the manager of the Kasr Al Bahar. The staff, grounds and accommodation were excellent. The extra touches of flowers in our room, welcome back display from safari, happiness and friendliness of staff made this a unique and very special holiday. The whole concept of a relaxing holiday with superb views was such a joy. Thank you.

Having just returned from a week’s cruise on the Nile together with a week in the Sonesta St George, Luxor we wanted to write to say how much we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. All we keep telling people is “The holiday was truly amazing”.

Everything about the cruise, hotel, excursions and treatment we received was superb and far exceeded our expectations. We don’t know if African Safari Club had any say in the room we were allocated on Sonesta St George but we were given a suite. Fantastic.

Thank you all so much - we will definitely recommend the trip to friends.

I shall be filling in my “Appraisal Form” following our holiday at your Flamingo Beach Hotel, but I thought that I would drop you a separate line to say how much we enjoyed our two week holiday, and to thank all your staff involved in planning it and making it such a success.

Your booking staff Michelle and Emma were extremely helpful, and fortunately as a retired couple we were able to leave at short notice which enabled us to take advantage of the discounted offer which we saw in your Daily Telegraph offer. It really was good value, and although we did not take advantage of any safari trips on this occasion we really enjoyed the facilities of the hotel, and the food and general ambience were excellent.

Some how we were allocated a really lovely corner room which was up one flight of stairs and thank you to whoever put us in there, it really was a great plus for us, with a close view of the ocean and a double balcony. Much appreciated!

Also one of us had a 75th birthday during the time we were with you and somehow this was picked up and the most delightful and genuine fuss of the birthday person, with floral decorations etc. which was much enjoyed!

The flights were very good, prompt departures and arrivals and the leg room on the way out was not at all bad for economy class and on the way back I reserved two seats in row 15 which was a great help and enabled my wife to stretch her leg out fully.

The staff at the Flamingo were charming and genuinely helpful, and special praise for Kamba, our table waiter, who was a real treasure, and looked after us very well. The weather was really good and the “rainy season” produced only one really wet day, but we hope that for the sake of the countryside there will be more before the wet season moves on.

We did not see a single mosquito during the whole trip!

We have no real criticisms, the transport from the airport to the hotel on arrival was a bit slow to leave and of course everyone was a bit tired, though good humoured.

So thank you all for an absolutely fabulous holiday, and we hope that we may be able to return again before long.

Having been home a week now, I thought I'd send you a quick note to say thank you so much for a lovely holiday. My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful 2 weeks at the Flamingo Beach hotel, the hotel is stunning, and with one of the best pools we've seen. The staff was brilliant, nothing is a problem or too much trouble, and they are always smiling! We had a wonderful safari at the Tsavo national park, and saw almost all the animals. The Mombasa city tour was also an eye opener. Thanks again and we hope to use you again, and I’m sure our friends will to.

We have just returned from Kenya having stayed for 2 weeks at the Shanzu-Paradise Beach Hotel. We had a lovely holiday and particularly enjoyed our Tsavo East safari. With a wonderful guide call Chan who was so knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic that I cannot praise him enough.

We also enjoyed the first class pre-trip service from Emma Perkins in your reservations team who answered all my queries with patience and informed detail.

The hotel was very well located and the beach was lovely. The pool was well maintained and our rooms were looked after by a wonderful man named Shadrach, who did all he could to make our stay comfortable. The accommodation I know disappointed some guests but we had not booked (or paid for) five-star service so we were quite satisfied.

We had a lovely holiday; I would not have missed it for the world - particularly the Tsavo East safari. Thank you

I have just returned from a two week holiday with yourselves and felt that completing the feedback form was not nearly enough to express the fantastic holiday that we enjoyed. The whole experience with African Safari Club has been excellent.

Once at the hotel, I can only compliment you on the friendliness and capabilities of all you staff and would like to particularly mention those staff that made our holiday so enjoyable;

Dining Room - John, Milka and Grace / Safari Bar - Maureen and Faith / Pool Bar - Godfrey, Alex and Paul / Animations team - Sam and Timothy / Kili/Kimana - Our driver Richard.

I was recommended to use African Safari Club by a friend and I will certainly not hesitate to make similar recommendations.

3 individuals who were especially good. Omar - our first safari guide, very knowledgeable, Minnie - safari guide at Buffalo Camp, Superb Lucas - Pool boy at Shanzu, always a smile, good at his job and a good communicator.

To sum up, a good value for money basic package holiday plus safari. If I was to recommend to friends I would say upgrades in every instance.

Our holiday at the Flamingo Beach Hotel in Kenya was absolutely excellent and, much more exceeded our expectations. On arrival after a long flight, the staff members greeted us with a song, a cold flannel and a cold drink that was greatly appreciated.

The waiter, the bar staff, coffee shop girls, cleaner of our room, pool boy and the Gardner went out of the way to make sure that we had everything we needed, we told the manager about the staff and he personally made sure our appreciation was passed onto everyone.

We have also told lots of friends and family, and showed photos and videos. By the way the Crocodile safari was excellent, the staff were brilliant, and went out of there way to please you and make sure you had enough to eat. As I am allergic to fruit, so made sure I had a pudding I could eat. Thank you once again for a superb holiday. We hope to return next year if we can.

I am returning the questionnaire after my holiday in Watamu. It’s the 2nd holiday I have had with you and I can’t praise you more highly for the outstanding value for money that you offer. We have compared the prices for holidays in Europe and they don’t compare favourably against what you offer. I do think Watamu is unique and the setting is very special and the staff are a great bonus. Kenya should be proud of them.

I cannot thank you enough for a holiday of a lifetime. We celebrated our Ruby wedding anniversary at Club Hotel Watamu Beach and what a fuss the staff there made to ensure we had an unforgettable time.

Every thing was so efficient from our initial booking to our return and the Kenyan people - the most genuinely friendly people. We will have to save our pension and return!! Many thanks to a heavenly holiday.
