Client Testimonials: January through March 2007

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel at exactly the same time of year, i.e. early March, each for two weeks. Again we have had the most fantastic time, fabulous weather (although rather humid) but the hotel & staff were again wonderful & we were looked after like royalty.

The hotel is great, the pool superb, all spotlessly clean. Yes, the rooms are basic as the brochure says. Yes you have to pay for water. coffee & all drinks, also sun beds - but the brochure says this also (& the prices are nominal). The price charged for flights, all food (plenty of choice & very good) & accommodation is excellent value for money. We shall certainly go again next year. This time we were joined by friends who were absolutely besotted by the friendliness of the staff & the whole ambience of the hotel, exactly the same as we are.

A tip for would be travellers - take a torch (useful particularly on safari), a plug with socket extensions (only 1 plug in the average room & not sufficient if you need to re-charge cameras, phones & use hairdryer,etc,).

We have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday with your Travel Company.

We took this holiday (our first to Kenya) in hope of seeing animals – especially elephants in their natural habitat and taking the ‘Red Elephant Safari’ more than fulfilled our dreams.

The driver of the safari bus went out of his way to make sure we saw as many types of animals as possible. We canot describe the thrill of seeing two giraffe and later an elephant crossing the road right in front of our bus.

We found the staff at the hotel – The Flamingo Beach – and on safari very friendly and helpful without expecting anything in return. The Kenyan people we came into contact with made us feel very welcome.

It was a pleasure travelling with your company – and at the special offer of half price an excellent value for money.

Just returned from a really good holiday. The Flamingo Beach Hotel was clean with good friendly staff - the swimming pool is really good with lots of room so that swimmers able to have their own space.

The Safari was really well organised, the airplane taking to the Safari was not the most comfortable but as it was a short flight only it added to the fun of the holiday.

Night entertainment was lacking in the hotel but there is a shuttle bus which takes you to the other hotels which are nearby with entertainment usually laid on by one of them, if you can be bothered after a day sightseeing or lazing by the pool.

Overall felt the holiday was good value for money and will certainly book to go with African Safari again - in the not too distant future I hope.

As a well travelled couple, trekking all over the world raising money for cancer based charities coupled with pure relaxing frequent breaks to distant resorts, the holiday provided everything we expected & more.

African Safari Club really excelled themselves with this trip which offered extremely good value for money together with excellent service & organisation.
We will have no hesitation in using & recommending the company to family & friends - not too many though as they may increase their prices HA! HA!

I would like to say that I had an enjoyable holiday.
I stayed at the Shanzu Beach Resort from 21-12-06 to 01-01-07. The staff at the hotel were warm, friendly and very helpful.

A special mention for Alex who waited on us in the resaturant and Shadrack who used to clean our room every day. I would also like to thank Marco for arranging all our tours. African Night was brilliant and so was the snorkelling.
I will definitely recommend African Safari Club to my friends.

I have stayed at the Club Hotel Watamu Beach. I can honestly say that the staff and the resort are great, I will come back to this place again. Well done to all the team at the African Safari Club.

Just returned from the Dolphin Hotel + Big 5 Safari.
The hotel was idyllic - superb surroundings and food; accommodation comfortable and clean - everything you need. No Mosquitos!
Safari superb. Saw everything we hoped to see. Fabulous attention to detail, comfort and safety throughout. Not for one minute did we feel any danger or discomfort. Again, apart from Tsavo, No Mosquitos!

At every stage of our holiday - initial inquiries, booking, subsequent questions, journeys, hotel and safari - the organisation was excellent. Even the 9 hour flights in economy were comfortable with far more legroom than I had expected (I am over 6 foot tall).

Having just returned from a two week holiday, staying at your hotel (Coral-Palm Beach), I am writing to thank you all for making my first holiday for thirteen years, the best holiday I have had in my life (60 years).

I left UK with some fear and intrepidation due to the fact that I would be a woman travelling alone, my limited mobility, other health issues and having read a bad report of your hotel on the internet.

When I arrived at Coral-Palm Beach, I was quickly reassured that my original fears and intrepidation were totally unfounded. Yes my room was basic, but it was cleaned daily by friendly trustworthy cleaners and after all, all I wanted from my room was somewhere to sleep, shower and change my clothes, so my room more than adequately met my needs.
Your dining room was comfortable, airy, clean and staffed by very professional and friendly staff, two of which, Moses and James, I highly commend. They assured my every need was met whilst dining. Your chefs and kitchen staff prepared a good selection of tasty meals, served in an appetising clean display and were always available to listen / talk and help guests when selecting food.

The gardens and pool areas played a large part in the environment of my holiday as my limited mobility excluded me from going on any safaris. Tour pool staff were very helpful and assiduous in their tasks of bringing sunbeds and mattresses to me. The cleaning of the pool was exemplary in as much as the pool attendant seemed dedicated and proud to ensure that the pool was kept clean and free of any dead insects or fallen leaves – well done pool attendant. The gardeners kept your lovely grounds in perfect order and again were very friendly and helpful.

Your security team were very reassuring, Mr Rafiq in particular. Their presence and whole persona made me as a disabled, female, older person, who was holidaying alone to feel relaxed and safe which I am sure you will agree is essential for a person in my circumstances. Thank you all.

The administration team, who work away in the background, were very “top notch”. When I experienced problems using my bank card three days before I was due to return home, your staff were very supportive and did their best to ensure that I did not worry (although I still did) they were wonderful.

I intend to write to African Safari Club head office commending your hotel and management and will be adding an unbiased and report of the hotel and its management to the website I visited prior to my holiday with you.
