We stayed at the Kasr al Bahr hotel for 2 weeks at the beginning of January and everything met our expectations. The staff and hotel were superb and we will be returning next year! Thank you African Safari Club.
We upgraded to Economy Plus on our flights and it was worth every penny for a 9 hour flight. Check-in was quick and easy with a separate desk for upgrades. Security took about an hour which was annoying but I suppose its better safe than sorry!
Arrived at the airport early hours, very hot and humid but we got through the visa section eventually! Luckily we had an advantage of being seated near the front of the aircraft so we were one of the first passengers off.
The room was basic but spacious and clean. Fresh flowers were left on our beds everyday by our cleaner, towels & linen were changed frequently through the day.
We purchased the 'gourmet pass' before we left and it was a very good choice! We ate in all of your a la carte restaurants. We normally loose weight on holiday but we had so much delicious food we must have put on 10 stone!!!! It also meant that we had a free transfer to the other hotels in the evenings so we got out and about. There wasn’t much entertainment in this hotel but there was always something happening in the other hotels. The Africa night at the Kasr al Bahr hotel was amazing especially the acrobats!
We will definitely be recommending this hotel and African Safari Club to our friends and family.
