Much like weddings in the United Kingdom, certain documentation is required to enable the ceremony to be performed in Kenya.
Wedding Requirements
- Birth Certificate
- Passport
- Single parties must have a letter stating neither has been married, signed by a UK Minister of the Church, or a sworn affidavit witnessed by a solicitor
- If under 21 years, sworn affidavit by parents / guardians
- If divorced, proof of Decree Absolute
- If widowed, relevant Death Certificate
- If change of name by Deed Poll, proof required
- Full information of each party: Full names of couple, full address and proof of residence (i.e driving licence), occupation of both parties
- Full names, addresses and profession of bride / groom's parents
